GOD ALMIGHTY!!!! THAT EMAIL WENT OUT? HOLY SHIT!

I was in the midst of WRITING it, LEADING UP TO that
I finally discovered that that TIP (what sun supplies
for dialing out on a phone line) was the culprit,
not sending the accent-control-characters during a ~T download,
and that when I finally (30 minutes ago) tried uuendode on it and
downloaded THAT, the accents showed up FINE (locally!) --

I was trying to say that, going through my train of thought
because it could happen to someone else, and stupid netcom CRASHED
(well the connection crashed), and (god damn it)
SENT the email that I was then writing!!!!!

My wonderful luck being in play, the message ended
with something "they put a bug into lynx" -- that
was just my thought pattern when on the way to finally
finding out what was wrong.

(why not use sz? Well, I did when using my ancient
sun 3/160 (sitting dead-terminal beside me), but
could never get sz to work from solaris here to
sun0s 4.x on netcom -- so I gave up, use tip
for ~T and ~P transfers, and mostly tar+gz
downloaded to wife's pc via ftp from her ibm.net
acct to netcom, kthen sneaker-net floppy to
sparc5 (luckily has floppy)).
