On Linux, curses IS ncurses. I don't think there's a way to get the
behavior of the older curses (ocurses ?) if htat's what you want.
Typically, on Linux, to build lynx you may need to create a symlink
/usr/include/ncuses/curses.h -> /usr/include/curses.h
