LYNX-DEV Lynx 2.6 Bug |

I believe that a have triggered a bug in Lynx 2.6. Unfortunately I no
longer have my old Lynx to see if that has the same bug. I only noticed
the problem when I got hooked up to the net relatively recently. In any
event here goes...
The problem is related to my startup page: ~/.lynx-bookmarks. I have
aliased Lynx to start up on this page with the -force_html option. Most
of the time I can return to my startup page and experience no problems.
Once in a while, however, I come back and the result is as if the page
were typed as text/plain. If I quit and restart lynx the problem
disappears.
I suspect that the trouble is that my startup page gets kicked out of
the cache (assuming there is one) and since it lacks a .html extension,
the reload is plain.
Please forgive me if this is a FAQ (I did read the one accessible through
the Lynx Enhanced Page at http://www.nyu.edu/pages/wsn/subir/lynx/general.html.
Regards, John.
