That would be the unix port. Stll, there is no main_thread function in the main lwip source. Starting a new port from the unix or win32 port is a good way, of course, but in these ports (since they are not targeted at a real system), there may be some things implemented in a non-optimal way regarding realtime embedded systems. You should kep that in mind when starting a new port as a copy from those two.
