Hi Joel - I'm sorry I wasn't more specific. I happen to need an implementation
of recvmsg() for a project I'm working on using an ESP32. I am specifically
interested in the IP_PKTINFO feature, though I can do without an IPv6
implementation.

Is the patch you speak of in the source code area? I don't think I've ever
patched code, so this will be a learning experience.
