Hi Simon,

I am now working on an implementation of some discovery protocol. This
implementation requires that the server will do some periodical tasks.

As a continuation to my previous submission I find myself again with the need
to add a task running along side my server module. If the server module had a
poll callback this task could have been avoided.

Do you have in mind adding such an option ?
