Follow-up Comment #32, task #7490 (project lwip): Both those patches look fine to me. I think "acksem" might make an unwitting reader think it has something to do with TCP ACKs, even though it clearly doesn't. Just keeping it as "sem" would be ok with me. If you did want to change it may I suggest something like "op_completed". So code would sys_sem_wait(...->op_completed ...) and sys_sem_signal(...->op_completed) which sort of reads correctly.
