Follow-up Comment #12, task #7525 (project lwip):

I don't really like do_recv being used for that, but as Jonathan said, it's
probably OK to save space...

As for the rest: I didn't have the time to test it and I must say I couldn't
really follow your ideas... Could you make it clear to me where you want to
increase, decrease and check a counter? Or did you want a blocked/unblocked
flag only??

I would want to make sure that this change doesn't break existing raw api
applications.
