Follow-up Comment #50, bug #20409 (project lwip):

OK, I've took the time to look over the 'patched' netif.c. Like Frédéric
said: why call dhcp_stop in netif_set_down? It may be called by dhcp, so
calling dhcp_stop might be wrong. Same thing for autoip?

Also we need to work on the timer functions if we implement
netif_set_link_down/up like that. Without it, it's not worth anything.

And the feature 'set MAC to low power mode' does not work with this patch,
does it?
