The base directory for ltib is now /opt, so you'll find the host support
packages build under /opt/ltib, and the LPP will now be
in /opt/ltib/pkgs
If you have been using ltib and you try to run it after a CVS update,
you'll get an error, probably:
-------------------------------------------------------------
mkdir: cannot create directory `/opt/ltib': Permission denied
Cannot create the download directory:
/opt/ltib/pkgs
------------------------------------------------------------
What you need to do to get going again is:
$ rm .host_wait_warning2
This will make ltib want to re-install the host support packages (thus
creating the /opt/ltib tree).
If you then run: ./ltib, you'll get a message to enter sudo permissions
(for the new directory). Follow the instructions (you need to be root
to run visudo).
Once you've done this, you should be able to finally run:
$ ./ltib
This will then spend 20 mins or so building /opt/ltib and then you will
be back to where you left off.
Note: I've added /opt/freescale/pkg to the %ldirs entry in .ltibrc so
ltib should not need to download anything new excecpt the rpm-fs sources
(it will know to search /opt/freescale/pkgs for package sources).
You will see ltib pointlessly re-install the toolchain you have
selected. Don't worry about this, it's just because the original rpm
database for this package is not longer visible (the one
in /opt/freescale/ltib/var/lib/rpm)
Regards, Stuart
