I agree with all of this, and that is why Nonpareil has class
extensions to handle these issues. But retrofitting it into
Lout is very likely to be a nightmare.

@SetEnv does not change a global symbol table, it updates a symbol
table in the environment (STYLE in Lout) for the object to its
right only - perfectly functional and no different from @Font.
