Hi,
Superscripts and subscripts in Lout documents are not always laid out
gracefully. In particular, using a superscript on a line within a
paragraph yields to the line's distance to the previous line being
larger than the regular paragraph inter-line space.
Similarly, equations cannot be used within a paragraph currently (unless
they are not higher than the characters on the line), as mentioned in
`eqf':
# Knuth also recommends some changes that depend on whether the #
# equation is displayed or inline; these are not implemented. #
This is especially frustrating when one sees LaTeX papers with equations
(divisions, etc.) inlined without the paragraph layout being messed up.
;-)
Is there a chance you (Jeff) could fix it in a future release? I'm
afraid these are pretty complex issues though...
Thanks,
Ludovic.
