Not very. Lout isn't able to make text flow around shapes; once a
column width is chosen for a galley (body of text), you have to stick
with that width.
I did experiment with something called "horizontal galleys", which can
do that, and even used them to implement large capital letters at the
start of first paragraphs; but they were never integrated into the system.
