teq setup

Hello All,
Can anybody help me.
I have installed lout.teq.2.30 but my first attemt to test
it resulted in:
@SysPrependGraphic symbol is out of place
message. When I comment out this line from teq file I get
waterfall of error messages " ... symbol unresolved ..." and
lout stops.
What may be the reason?
P.S. Eq also does not work. The rest of lout including
russian fonts works :(
