I was able to resolve this by updating linphone to 4.1.1 via the flatpak method. On Linux Mint I needed to do the following to install:

flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo flatpak --user install --from https://linphone.org/flatpak/linphone.flatpakref

Linphone can then be found in the "Internet" section of the Mint menu (ie. not with linphone on command line)).

I now have another problem relating to linphonecsh which I'll address in a separate message

Cheers,

Hello,

I have Linphone installed on a Linux machine running Asterisk as well as Linphone apps on several Android phones and all phones are registered with the Asterisk server. While the Android apps are all working well, connecting with each other and with outside lines via an external SIP service (registered in Asterisk), the Linux-based app fails to transmit the audio from a microphone to the receiving devices when it makes a call.

It's not an ALSA problem. The mic input is actually registering Linphone's GUI when a call is made from the Linux-based app to any other phone, showing up in the level meters.

Also strange is that when a peer SIP phone calls in to the linux-based app, the mic (on Linux) works fine and can be heard on the caller's phone.

Can anyone please suggest what might be happening?

Thanks,

Iain
