Capturing streams with wireshark during phone conversations between softphones and pstn subscriber, I can see all sent and received RTP packets are 214 bytes long, as in Linphone as in Ekiga, with 20 ms *mean* interval. But there is a difference between the two softphones: While Ekiga sents one packet every 20 ms without exception (as long as I can see), Linphone sents almost always two packets in the same millisecond with 30 or 40 ms intervals. One packet with 20 ms interval is the exception.
I don't think this is an inconvenience but I am a few surprised. (Received packets intervals are always 20 ms +/- jitter.)
