Hi.
My webcam picture is simply green with my :
lsusb : 046d:08da Logitech QuickCam Messenger
I'm on ubuntu intrepid and this webcam works (out of the box) with gspca and (on ?) v4l2 module with ekiga, cheese, vlc, amsn and emesene (1.4.8)
I've seen it doesn't work either with skype, so I tried a hack used by skype-users with this kind of problem :
installed libv4l-0 (0.5.8)
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so /usr/bin/linphone
but it doesn't seem to work
I don't know where to find the conf files to check if my webcam is correctly recognised (i.e. /dev/video0 instead of /dev/video1; channel 0,1,2; 640x480 or 320x240)
