Simon,

I've been almost convinced to by a new modem and even selected a particular 
model already, but recently on Internet I found a kind of "hack" and I have 
been able to set modem to "bridged mode"!!! So far, linphone don't crash 
modem anymore, but linphone --verbose still segfaults with the same message.
As for the alsa compilation problem, as I mention already I've been able to 
compile linphone-2.0.1 with a the patch, therefore I'll wait for the next 
version.
