Skype uses a propietary protocol, GooglTalk uses XMPP as signaling
protocol to negotiate the media session.

Some routers try to detect SIP and analyse the data (SDP) inside the SIP
protocol to see which media ports will be used and try to "prioritize"
that media traffic. Sometimes it helps to disable this prioritization
feature.
