It may get you confused, but my question was , is it possible to set up the voice call
without any SIP account setting ?

For example, in LAN, we can do that with PC version by calling sth like address@hidden.

Can we do the same thing with the smartphone version?

Do you mean voice call?
I used both iphone and android version.
You need/must setup your sip account manually in Linphone's setting view and the sip account you can get from some sip providers(some ones are free).

Does anyone know about how to set up the voice chat between two linphone
iphone/android client?

I previously used windows version before , and  was able to start a chat
with my friend without any sip account setting. Is it possible in the
iphone/android version?
