Use the X-attachment and Y-attachment properties. I’m not at a computer, but their documentation is here: https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.24/Documentation/internals/balloon_002dinterface

Something like

\once \override Score.Footnote.X-attachment = 0

should get you going.
