All, Hoping someone has the experience to answer my question (Google is an utter failure). At the end of an etude I've written I want to indicate that the performer should arpeggiate a chord slowly with the hand close to the bridge of the instrument (producing a drier sound quality), and then in the final measure to strum a chord more quickly but with the hand over the fretboard (producing a more resonant sound quality). Are there established markings for such performance directives? I have searched for guitar notation examples that might indicate something of this nature without success. So, before I use plain \markup I figured I'd ask all of you, because of your wealth of experience. Much thanks, Guy -- “Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” ― Aristotle |
