Mr. Morris: Thank you for your reply and the documentation. My description of what I want was not clear. I have a set of variations each of them 24 measures. Each variation is on a separate page. Based on the quantity of notation, some variations need only two lines on a page while others require more – as much as five lines. For each variation Lilypond distributes the Piano staves equally on the page: variations with two Piano staves divide the page into thirds; variations with three Piano staves divide the page into fourths, and so on. I want the space between one Piano staff and the next Piano staff to be the same for all variations even if a white space appears at the bottom the page. Is this possible? Hi Mark, I think you are looking for this: Notation Reference --> Spacing Issues --> Vertical Spacing --> Spacing of Grouped Staves Cheers, -Paul |
