\tweak #'font-size #+12.70 apparently you must leave out the = sign that is typical of the override construct.
also a word of caution, by in large lilypond's default habits are excellent typesetting practice, when you change something other than a clashing position problem it is best to ask if you are being idiosyncratic in doing so. Of course it is not yet a perfect program, but it is constantly being improved.

i just tried to do the
\override BreathingSign#text = \markup { \fontsize #8 { \musicglyph
#"comma" } }in a
\version "2.16.1"
and it would compile but the breathe didn't get bigger.
Will or can this work in 2.16.1?
Or is there a different thing that will?
I was excited that the thread was started as I was working on a cello suite and felt that the sign should be bigger but it doesn't matter what fontsize I put it nothing changed.
