For What Its Worth, I have a document that gets included with all of my files 
that has things like:
pdolce = #(
        make-dynamic-script (
    markup #:line (
                        #:left-align
                        #:dynamic "p" 
                        #:hspace -1
                        #:normal-text
                        #:italic ", dolce" 
    )
  )
)
and various others defined so that I can insert \pdolce or \cantabilemf
