Thanks for the replies, both on the base question - that resolved my problem -
and on
the XML side question.
On the XML side, let me emphasize - I LIKE Lilypond! I am also aware of the
efforts to
create a Music related XML DTD/Schema (eg. http://www.recordare.com/xml.html).
Suffice
it to say that I do have some XML experience and I do understand both the
strengths and
the weaknesses. I'd be happy to assist when we get to the point of needing
xml2ly and
ly2xml.
