Yes, I'm under Mint 20.3.

Unfortunately, fc-cache --really-force (great command btw...) and sudo fc-cache --really-force didn't solve the problem.

With LilyPond 2.23.6 and 2.23.7, the behaviour is correct, but 2.23.82 still produces the empty rectangles if no combination of accidental _with figure_ occurs in the ly file.

Werner will know about this better than me, but I am still curious. What does this give you?
