If you can't create patches (and it's not too hard to create a development 
"computer" using a virtual machine and LilyDev 
http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.17/Documentation/contributor/lilydev) then 
posting the updated files to the developer list should allow someone to test 
them and get them reviewed.  I'm too busy to do this myself right now, but 
could help after mid-June.
