Comment #50 on issue 3304 by address@hidden: Unequal spacing in odd
n-tuplet with other simultaneous subdivisions
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3304
Concerning 2) (RehearsalMarks):
It seems that what i described in
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3304#c37 was some kind
of a coincidence.
I mean: similarly to Karol i prefer equal spacing (i.e. how the example
looked beforee this patch). However, if i understood Keith's explanations
(comment 43), it's not Keith's patch fault that the spacing is now uneven:
something else in the code makes spacing uneven. It's just that before
Keith's patch the spacing was accidentally influenced by how springs worked.
Bottom line: i believe that situation reported in m.37 is irrelevant to
Keith's patch. If anything, it should be submitted as a new, unrelated
issue.
As for 1), that may indeed be a problem, but i'm not sure if adding more
padding is a good idea. The best way to address this would be to implement
flexible note-otherstuff distances (as discussed in issue 2142). Until
that happens, i think we can leave the situation as it is (maybe a separate
issue could be opened if someone has a minimal example).
