I just installed lilydev, and it misses some Cyrillic fonts or support  
files indeed. LH TeX package can be installed in Ubuntu by installing  
texlive-lang-cyrillic (texlive-texmf-fonts on Fedora).

I'm preparing a newer version of the patch that adds a configure check.
