No objection about a regular Patchy test: I should be surprised to see it  
to turn out anything but empty. The nature of this patch is such that it  
should not flag more errors than are already there.  Yes, I noticed the  
additional errors as well: they don't make all that much sense, but the  
original ones did not make all that much sense either.

I guess there is a random element in the problem.  Removing the  
(non-information carrying) followup errors might help with figuring out the  
actual size of the problem and conditions related to its occurence.
