It's not a problem and I'm sure that I can do some trivial splitting up  
(i.e. I can push all the new files in a separate commit).  However, as for  
splitting it up based on content, that'd be really difficult.  I definitely  
don't want to use the actual commit history, as there are several commits  
that may break master or lead to hideous visual results and I don't want  
any of those in the repo.  I agree that it's not good to make giant  
commits, but everything in this is rather intertwined.
