This was originally issue 151, fixed with commit 642031d0, but it is not  
clear if it ever worked in any but the simplest cases.

The problem is order of operations in multi-line scores.  A stencil is made  
for the continuation of the hairpin, and the first portion of the hairpin  
is stenciled with that continuation in mind, and only later the  
continuation is deleted.  Preferably, 'to-barline would kill the continued  
hairpin immediately upon breaking, before it is stenciled.
