I'm not sure what else to say.  The ptrace-based code in libunwind
should be quite manageable, so it should be fairly easy to understand
(and if it's not, you know where to ask).

Also, the libunwind API is fully documented here:

OK, one or two man-pages are still missing at the moment, but
everything you should need should be documented.
