Since this is in response to a regression, I agree that it needs to
go in before the release (and probably is good reason for a 1.5.24
on its own). I assume the next patch below is

Okay, I'll review it when it lands =)O| If you don't commit them together,
please commit the new tests *before* the feature patch. That way it is
easy to see what is fixed by the following patch.
