Feel free to send patches for clcommit.m4sh, but note that we're not
the primary source of it, and also that upstream has proceeded: we
don't have its current version, and I rejected a request by Gary to
change that, simply on the grounds of not wanting to invest the review
work (and of having related changes show up in the `libtool' script):
