In order for the `libtoolize' magic to work, LTDL-MODE needs to be both
an m4 literal as well as a greppable literal, i.e., not-a-macro.

I firmly believe autotools should document each of these thingies (there
are a few of these, e.g. in connection with `autoreconf'; I'll write bug
reports when bored..).
