This is the easiest to address: Rejected.  :-)

Rationale: I want to be able to
  m4_if([some_condition],
  [LT_CONFIG_LTDL_DIR
   $other_LTDL_configuration
  ])

and preventing that in order to save typing an option isn't worth much
hassle.  Would you agree?
