Well remembered!  I'd completely forgotten about that.

The bug (rdar://problem/4135857 for those of you who work at Apple) has been closed a few times, but appears to be currently open, so maybe they are
working on it.

As noted in my mail export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.3 and watch the tests
pass.

So the better workaround is to add 'export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.3' to
those tests rather than skip them altogether?

P.P.S. Getting gfortran and gcj up and running on 10.4.2 took an age! Thank God
for darwinports... ;-D
