branch-2-0 is missing a moderate number of interesting, but potentially
destabilizing patches that are on HEAD. Nuking branch-2-0 would involve
an additional delay while any problems with those patches are shaken
out. Lets just fix the known issues with branch-2-0 and put the release
out ASAP :-)
AFAIR, branch-2-0 needs fixes for serial number detection in libtoolize,
and a way to generate the libtool script before AC_OUTPUT before the
next alpha, and we are in good shape to release right? Is there anything
else I've forgotten?
I should have net connectivity back on Feb 5, and will start work on
those issues then.
Cheers,
Gary.
