The patch was taken against 1.5.10.  I can pull the latest cvs of
branch-1-5 and branch-2-0 this weekend if you would like.  While
running the testsuite, one of the tests said
shlibpath_overrides_runpath should be set to yes.  Dragonfly is a fork
of FreeBSD, so I took the defaults from that, and their's is set to
no.  Should this be changed for both of them?  I have autoconf259 and
automake19 installed here, and neither of those needed patching.  Just
new config.sub and config.guess.  I will send you a new patch with a
changelog entry and just those two files after running through the
whole testsuite and figuring out the shlibpath_overrides_runpath
issue.  Thanks
