Heh! You should've tried chasing the bugger round and round in the multipass link loop for days on end... only to discover that it was only half the solution. My brain has melted! :-o

What exactly is being changed in this patch? I see a a change in indentation. Were lines of code moved?

The block moved out of an if statement, so now deplibs are propagated whether libdir is set or not.
