No such luck. Building outside the srcdir still fails. I've attached
the output of configure:
> ${srcdir}/configure --build=${host} --target=${target} \
--srcdir=${srcdir} --prefix=${prefix} \
--exec-prefix=${prefix} --sysconfdir=${sysconfdir} \
--libdir=${prefix}/lib
Also, the output of make (just for kicks) after this failed configure:
