Thanks. I have broken this up into separate commits, and written ChangeLog
entries for you. Please read the `Submitting Patches' section at
http://www.gnu.org/software/libtool/contributing.html. When I am busy, the
details described here will make the difference between whether I have time
to evaluate and commit a submitted patch.

Did I already mention that I am *really* *really* looking forward to having a
single development branch so that I don't have to port every patch back and
forth? ;-)

I took Christophs version as a temporary measure for 1.4.

Thanks. Not sure how we missed that one.

I don't think this is required anymore, so I didn't apply it.

Good point. I have commited this part as a separate patch to HEAD and MLB.

I don't think it makes sense to license a patch -- certainly not to offer it
under different license terms to the software it is intended to fix. I
suppose you mean to say I can do what I like with this stuff? Adding it to
libtool causes it to be distributed under the terms of the GPL. I expect I'm
reading too much into that one sentence. I must be tired. This email has
become a bit of a rant. Sorry about that. No offence intended. Off to bed
now. Release tomorrow... Goodnight everyone :-@

Cheers,
