Hi all,

I'm working on a personal project for which I needed a way to
automatically distribute monetary value amongst a large number of
stakeholders.

After coming up with a very simple protocol I started looking for
other use cases, and fairly distributing donations to libre software
development seems like a good one. The most interesting aspect of this
use case is that "invisible" projects that are widely used as
dependencies by other software stacks can become part of the flow of
micro-donations that trickle down the VDP tree.

At this stage I'd like to engage with the Free/Libre software
community and ask for feedback on the overall protocol and specific
use cases.
