This is getting too off-topic, but the idea of giving an author
exclusive control over their work is one that needs to be justified
and not accepted blindly. Copyright is indeed an issue in basically
all cases. It hampers culture and progress and provides power
imbalances, and all around should indeed be abolished as long as we
have better mechanisms in place like mandatory-source-release,
DRM-prohibition, and Basic Income Guarantee.

And I just want to be clear that I'm 100% conscious of what I'm saying
when I suggest copyright abolition (along with the other things that
protect software and cultural freedom, and ideally other mechanisms to
provide effective economic support — such as Snowdrift.coop, the
project I'm working on).
