The Libreboot+GRUB ROMs generated from this patch were reboot tested on
a KGPE-D16 and thus far survived 5 reboots without failing, so I'm
cautiously optimistic the LPC hang has (finally!) been resolved.
For those interested in the technical details it appears enabling the
ASF controller without resetting its internal state machine caused a
hard power down requiring S5 power cut. This may be related to SP5100
erratum 18 or may be an unrelated hardware bug.
