set_iso_channel_and_speed failed (-1), even though it was being called with
the correct parameters. Smells funny IMO because I don't see why we need the
userdata set. Also *strange gets modified by the call - why would that be?
Could well be a buggy libraw on my end, or an error elsewhere in CVD causing
strangeness.
