How about the ability to switch the UI between two or three languages on the
fly?

e.g. one user searches in French, then the next one comes along and wants
English, or vice versa.  Or a librarian does activities in one language because
it's more comfortable, then switches to another for certain other activities. 
Useful in regions with more than one official language like Canada or Finland.
