PS : some ppl in France says that "Libre software" is often used in
english countries to avoid the "free" mistake (like free speach, not
free beer). Is it true ?

English countries? You mean England or all Anglophone ones?
I meaned anglophones.
Certainly,
in England (and the UK and I think the Irish Republic too), we say "free
software". I have seen EU studies that call it "Free/Libre," though.

The US is home to the Free Software Foundation, so I suspect they call it
free software too. Africa has the Free Software and Open Source Foundation
for Africa, so I suspect they call it free software... I'm not there,
though, so I can't say for sure.

Don't believe everything people say: after all, some French people have
tried to tell me that "logiciel libre" is a translation of "open source"
which is rather naughty of them.

I don't believe everything. And that's why I ask anglophone readers from this list :-)
However, that's true that in French "libre" (free speech) does not mean "gratuit" (= free beer).

for open source <=> logiciel libre => whoh ! it's really stupid, I agree.
